I have just returned home from 3 days in Ibiza with Yogafit. I would go almost as far as to say the BEST three days of my life – spending time with friends doing the things you love – whats not to enjoy!
I wanted to write a post about the retreat (although as you will see if you carry on reading I wouldn’t call it this, more of a yoga fit holiday/convention) to encourage anyone with an inkling to try it out – to just go for it and book and I guarantee you won’t regret!
We chose to go for three days, first BIG mistake! The retreat options are 3, 5 or 7 days and leaving mid-way through the week was so sad! In hindsight I know we should have stayed longer but unfortunately the day job called us back. The retreat takes over the majority of a hotel in Ibiza and the October week had over 300 people visiting. There is a plethora (love that word) of activities on offer, from yoga and meditation classes, Bollywood dance, cliff hikes to beach circuits. That’s the first thing that’s great about the retreat – with so much on offer there’s no chance of being bored or unhappy – you can do as much or as little as you want.
The hotel has multiple swimming pools and a beach to lounge around (if weather permits) and as the retreat is all inclusive there are multiple bars that you can make use of. One of the things I loved about YogaFit was how un-pretencious it was, some people were there doing one yoga class mid morning and spent the rest of the day poolside with a mojito in hand. Others, aka me and my girlfriends did 6 classes in a day and then had double pudding in the buffet with molten chocolate sauce and ice cream! There is absolutely no judgement and everyone is so friendly the atmosphere around resort was great.
The retreat also had some guest speakers giving talks, from Chico on self discovery to the journey to self love. Again, these weren’t forced upon you and were there for those that fancied.
The retreat dates for 2017 are out already… with prices starting from £350. I can’t recommend enough for a break from day to day life (wifi and signal are limited so when you get over this initial shock on arrival it becomes a GREAT way to detox from your phone!). I am certainly planning to go back next year and I know a good few friends and family who are joining me!
NB: this is a completely unsponsored post – I just loved it!!
Maybe see you out there in April, I’ll be on the Aqua boards (vid below!) with a mojito on the sidelines – I’m all for the balance in life!
