With the winter weather setting in, evenings spent at home will be fast approaching. The work day finishes and I am straight home and into pyjamas as fast as possible, then getting to the sofa to relax under a blanket for a cosy night in. Here are a few of my winter investments to make those chilled evenings all the more special.
- Winter “Spring” Clean
I am a bit of a clean freak but having Fantastic Services come in and clean every inch of my flat last week was a great help to creating a peaceful atmosphere. They cleaned everything from the mirrors to inside the oven (who ever remembers to do this!) and were so thorough. For three hours they did the entire flat (two bathrooms, hall and stairs included) and it was a perfect deep clean after a summer that contained a slight lack of hovering.
Their services includes garden redesign and handyman services so everything is covered, also the hassle free booking makes it simple to arrange to fit in.
If you book using this link you can get £10 of your first service.
- New home scents
I came across Bergamot And Me at Addidas’ Wilderness festival and they are the best smelling oils I’ve tried in a long time. A few drops of the sleep scent to diffuse around the living room and the perfect ambience to relax with a book or film. They also sell little roller sticks which are great for packing in your bag or case if travelling around and you need that peaceful vibe on the go.
You can use discount code “LoveBergamot” to get 20% off their site if you want to indulge and buy yourself a new scent.
With cold dark mornings on the horizon there can be no better time to get your workout scheduled in with a buddy and get a good sweat on to make you feel good all day. I am loving teaching my classes at the new Digme Rathbone Square studio (next to Tottenham Court Road) and matrix meta is the ultimate workout!
- Book a holiday
Ok maybe this ones a bit extreme but knowing I have retreats with Jess (@jessicarlambert on instagram) and @Yogafitretreats Ibiza makes the cold all the more bearable.
Yogafit occurs twice a year (October and April) and this Octobers retreat sold out with 450 spaces gone – a testament to how fantastic the community is. It is growing and growing and I can’t wait to be back. Send me a message if you are interested in booking for next year – one not to miss out on and a great entry into the retreat world. See more here.
Jess and I are working together on a few retreats, from weekends in the UK to hitting the slopes of Morzine in Feb for a skiing and yoga retreat. See more details here.
